Our annual gathering of 26,000 people for Alberta Street Fair is not possible this year. Instead of one big event, we bring you a FULL SEASON of art, music, food, shopping, and community celebration. Alberta Main Street presents —

The Summer of Alberta 2020 from June through September, is a whole season of arts, culture, food & fun to support small businesses, equity & diversity, the arts, and community on Alberta Street. Activities for all ages online & on the ground, with safe social distancing in mind. Interactive DIY activities, special promotions and contests for food, drink, shopping and more.
Alberta Street has always valued equity and diversity, and this year we will re-focus our efforts, fundraising for Alberta Main Street and supporting small businesses, artists, performers, and musicians of color. The Summer of Alberta features:
Virtual Last Thursday Art Classes, Music and Performances. Monthly Gallery Openings and Artist Interviews. DIY Art Walks and Activities – – Online and on the ground.
Animal Art Tour by Bunnywithatoolbelt & Green Bean Books.

Street Fair in the Air, Saturday August 8th – A whole day of online and safe, socially distanced music, art, food, culture, special promotions and partnerships with restaurants and shops. This replaces our annual 25,000+ attendee traditional street fair. Stay tuned!
Additional Events and Activities! Ongoing Virtual and small, safe distancing live entertainment, music, comedy shows, theatrical events, promotions, contests…and more! Special partnerships such as pop-up sales and dining events; evening light shows; street art and murals, small safe social distancing performances and music. Stay tuned for more details as they develop in real time.
Alberta Main Street is working to create more space this summer to support and celebrate our Black community by featuring Black art performances and music along with pop-up and other opportunities to sell food, drinks, crafts and other goods made by those in the BIPOC community. We are also showcasing the Alberta Street Black Heritage Markers and new storefront window displays for organizations that support the BIPOC community located at 1722 NE Alberta St.
Covid-19 has created extra challenges for Portland’s busy summer season of street fairs. The Summer of Alberta is about supporting each other, coming together, and promoting all the goodness on Alberta Street.
